In less than 30-days the LOCATE team will be traveling up to San Jose, CA to participate in Intuit’s $100k App Showdown at the QuickBooks Connect Conference – and there is so much to do before then!
First, we had to put our heads together and discuss our Finalist pitch. Being such a robust program, there are so many things we could talk about for LOCATE! Advanced part types, state-of-the-art permissions, or perhaps continuously summarized accounting? Unfortunately, our time is limited to 3 minutes, so we’ve formatted our pitch in a manner that’s condensed yet compelling and will still pack a punch.
The pitch is a crucial element of our participation in this year’s conference, and the Intuit team has been an incredible resource for all of the Finalists. We’ve already had our first practice pitch and got some great feedback. We can’t wait to get in front of those judges!
Just look at that passion!
Just yesterday, we participated in a Twitter takeover hosted by @QBOchat, to answer a few key questions about LOCATE and our team. Kylie and Naomi were at the ready with 3 monitors and 140 characters or less. We had the opportunity to “meet” our fellow finalists and learn more about their teams and products. Best of all, we’re now actively campaigning to get #PuppersForAll trending on Twitter. It’ll happen.

Booth Preparedness Training
Another important part of our journey to QuickBooks Connect is manning our LOCATE booth. Although we’ve all worked in some aspects of sales for LOCATE, it’s not necessarily part of our day-to-day, so we want to make sure that everyone on the team can answer questions from each area of the program: from reports to accounting. So we re-grouped and practiced some of the inquiries we expect to receive from attendees. This exercise really ramped up our excitement even more (if that was possible) and we’re ready to get out there and win it!
